We’re a growing emergency and specialty veterinary service that’s been serving the Roanoke community for over 20 years. Originally started as an after-hours ER for local vets, we’ve evolved into a 24/7 emergency and critical care facility that works closely with area practices. Now, we’re expanding our surgical offerings and looking for someone special to lead the way.

The Role

• Work 4 days a week (you choose the days).

• Perform both soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

• See referred cases from outside hospitals and our own ER team.

• Offer support and mentorship to our staff and referring veterinarians.

• Rare on-call responsibilities (our ER team is excellent).

• Help develop our surgical service and referral base (lunch & learns, CE talks).

• Be a kind, communicative, and collaborative teammate.

What You’ll Get

• Salary: $120K–$150K base or 25% of gross production (whichever is higher)

• Health, dental, and disability insurance

• Uniform allowance

• 3% IRA match

• 3 weeks paid vacation

• $2,500 CE allowance + paid training days

• Licenses and dues covered (state, DEA, PLIT, etc.)

• What We’re Looking For

  • Board-certified or board-eligible veterinary surgeon (DACVS or equivalent)

  • Team player with a friendly, collaborative attitude

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Desire to help grow and shape a surgical service

  • Comfortable with both soft tissue and orthopedic cases

  • Willingness to engage with the local veterinary community
